In Amroha, the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Special (POCSO Act I) Awadhesh Kumar has given a historic verdict. The father accused of raping a minor daughter has been sentenced to life imprisonment within six days. Along with this, a fine of Rs 53 thousand has been imposed. The victim is seven months pregnant. Orders have been given to pay half of the fine amount to the victim. The guilty father is in jail since his arrest, he could not get bail.
This incident is from a village in Didoli Kotwali area. A 50-year-old man living here used to work as a laborer in a brick kiln. About eight months ago, he had raped his 14-and-a-half-year-old daughter in the absence of family members. After which he was constantly making his daughter a victim of lust by intimidating him. He used to rape his minor daughter whenever the family members were out of the house. He used to threaten to kill her if she told anyone.
Meanwhile, the girl became pregnant. On June 11, the girl’s health suddenly deteriorated. After which the relatives got the girl ultrasound done at a center. In which the victim was found to be seven months pregnant, after the report came out, the senses of the family were blown away.
On being asked by mother and brother, the girl narrated her ordeal. On June 14, the son filed a rape case against his father. The police arrested the accused on the same day and sent him to jail. The matter was investigated by SSI Sukrampal Singh Rana of Didoli Kotwali. He had filed the charge sheet in the court on June 22. The case reached the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Special (POCSO Act I) Awadhesh Kumar Singh on June 23.
On the very first day, the court heard the matter and took the case on trial. In this case the victim, her brother, mother, lady doctor, principal of a school, radiologist doctor, lady constable presented their testimony before the court related to the trial. During the hearing on Monday, the judge heard the prosecution and the accused side. Special Public Prosecutor Basant Singh Saini argued strongly on behalf of the prosecution.
On Tuesday, the court again heard the case and gave a historic verdict of Uttar Pradesh. The court convicted the accused father on the basis of evidence and evidence and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 53 thousand has been imposed on the guilty father.
Orders have been given to hand over half of the fine amount to the victim. Special Public Prosecutor Basant Singh Saini told that this is the first case in Uttar Pradesh for sentencing within six days.
