The Uttarakhand State Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of the gang-rape of a six-year-old girl in a moving car in Roorkee. The commission has summoned a complete report from the police in this case and has directed DIG P Renuka and district SSP Dr. Yogendra Rawat to take strict action. On the other hand, a three-member committee has been formed which will investigate the matter.
