People who were facing the scorching heat for the past several days got relief on Saturday. Due to the cloudy sky throughout the day, people breathed a sigh of relief from the pleasant weather. The department has forecast that from Sunday morning, some areas of Delhi may receive moderate rainfall. In such a situation, there is a possibility of further loosening of heat in the next 24 hours.

Clouds kept camping in the sky since Saturday morning. Intermittently dark clouds, but no rain was recorded anywhere in Delhi. However, people got relief as there was no sunshine. In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature was 35.1 degrees Celsius below normal and the minimum temperature was 30.5 degrees Celsius, three above normal. The humidity level in the air was recorded in the range of 65 to 73 per cent.

According to Mahesh Palawat, meteorologist at Skymet Weather, moisture-laden winds coming from the eastern direction are continuing. At the same time, the western tip of the southwest monsoon is reaching the northern part of the country. Due to this, it is raining in many states including Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. At the same time, light rain can be recorded in some areas of Delhi till Saturday night or Sunday morning. This situation will continue for two consecutive days now. After this, rain can be recorded on the next 13 and 14 July. Palawat said that at present the monsoon trough is over the central part of the country. Due to this, it is not raining in Delhi-NCR. It is expected that in the next eight to 10 days it will move upwards and there is a possibility of good rain.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has forecast that rain can be recorded with cloudy sky throughout the day on Sunday. The maximum temperature is likely to be 33 and the minimum temperature is 26 degree Celsius. There is a possibility of light rain for the next day as well.
