New revelations are now being made in the assassination case of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Japanese media reported on Saturday, citing police sources, that the attacker had hatched a more dangerous plan before killing Abe, in which he planned to attack a prominent leader of a religious group. However, the police have not disclosed the name of that leader.

The attacker was angry with the ideology and working style of the religious group

Japan’s Kyodo News quoted police as saying that the attacker was angered by the ideology and functioning of a religious group and had also complained to the police. When action was not taken after the complaint, the attacker became more angry after which he started doing recce to kill the prominent leader running the religious organization. However, he could not succeed due to tight security.

Police arrested the attacker for the murder of Shindo Abe

Let us tell you that on Friday, the police arrested the attacker named Yamagami for the murder of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. However, the police had to struggle a lot while nabbing the attacker.

During interrogation Yamagami has denied that he committed the crime. Because he said that he did not like Abe’s political ideology and therefore he has no regrets for this murder.

According to media reports, he had no idea about what he wanted to do in life after passing high school. However, he had caught a job with a low salary. He had quit his job in the month of May as he was feeling tired. Meanwhile, the police on Friday raided his apartment in Nara and recovered explosives and homemade guns.
