After the major accident in Amarnath on Friday, the Meteorological Department has issued warnings in 16 states. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will wreak havoc in the next few days. The department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
Due to the monsoon, the rivers are running in spate, the incidents of mountain cracking and the accidents caused by them are coming to the fore. On Friday evening, the cloud burst near the Amarnath cave. Due to which many devotees died and many were washed away in the fast-moving water. However, the Meteorological Department had issued a warning of heavy rain here a day earlier.

According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours in the capital Delhi, the maximum temperature was 39 above normal and the minimum temperature was 29.2 degrees Celsius above normal. Since morning the sun has been harsh and the people were in bad condition due to the sultry heat. The Meteorological Department had predicted light rain at some places a day ago, but no rain was recorded at any standard centre.
Meteorological Department issued alert
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many states of the country from July 10 to July 13. In five days till July 13, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are likely to receive heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of scattered and heavy rainfall at some places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan in the next five days, with more rain likely on July 10.
