Congress and BJP MLAs from Haryana are on target of gangsters. So far, three Congress and one BJP MLA have received WhatsApp calls, messages threatening to kill three Congress and one BJP MLA from a local number apart from Dubai, demanding or not giving extortion money. The government has increased the security of the four MLAs and has entrusted the investigation to the STF.
The government is making preparations to increase the security of all the MLAs. Chief Minister Manohar Lal has also taken feedback of the entire incident. Taking cognizance of the matter, Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta held a meeting with high officials of police, home department and intelligence agencies on Friday. Former Union Minister Kumari Selja has demanded a probe by the NIA or a working judge of the High Court. He along with MLA Renu Bala reached Raj Bhavan on Friday and submitted a memorandum to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.
Now three MLAs have so much security

Extortion calls coming from Dubai and local numbers
WhatsApp calls are being made from Dubai and local numbers threatening to extort MLAs. Sanjay Singh, BJP MLA from Sohna in Gurugram, Renu Bala, Congress MLA from Sadhaura, on June 25 and MLA from Sonipat, Surendra Panwar, received threatening calls three days ago. Congress MLA Subhash Gangoli from Safidon was asked for extortion by sending WhatsApp calls and messages on Friday. Five lakh rupees were demanded from him in the name of Goldie Brar. Those who called the MLA called themselves Brar’s henchmen.
According to police sources, the numbers from which the WhatsApp calls have come are operating from Pakistan or Delhi and adjoining areas. The one who demanded five lakh rupees from Sohna MLA had called himself a notorious criminal Neeraj Bawana. The caller to Renu Bala had said that a betel nut of Rs 25 lakh has been given to kill her. The person who demanded five crore rupees from Surendra Panwar did not name any gang.
Quick caller identity claim A high official of the police department said that those who made threat calls to the four MLAs would be identified soon. Many times, even after calling while staying in the country, the number from abroad comes. Gangsters and other criminals have changed their way of working. They do this by using technology. STF, police and intelligence agencies will solve the matter soon. The idea of increasing the security of other MLAs is also being considered.
These Congress MLAs have also received threats Congress MLA from Firozpur Jhirka Maman Khan has also received threats at the local level. Congress MLA from Adampur Kuldeep Bishnoi had received threats in the past. On his complaint, the police arrested the caller from Rajasthan.
