Shrikant Shinde, son of rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and MP from Kalyan, has warned Sanjay Raut. Srikkanth has hit out at Raut for his remark in which the Shiv Sena leader had described the rebels as “body without soul”. He has clearly asked Raut to handle his tongue.

During an interaction with reporters at the memorial of Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe, Srikkanth said that Raut should speak with his tongue. He is also someone’s father and his family is also watching his statements. Shrikant Shinde said that this is not the culture of Maharashtra. The whole state is watching the tone in which Raut is making this statement. This happens only when someone sees power going away.

Shrikant Shinde on Monday said that Maharashtra Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal had sent his father and 15 other disgruntled MLAs a notice for disqualification under pressure, which is clear from the Supreme Court order. Significantly, while providing relief to the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs against the disqualification notice issued by the Deputy Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the court on Monday said that the disqualification of the MLAs concerned should not be decided till July 11.

The top court, however, refused to pass an interim order on the Maharashtra government’s plea seeking non-conduct of the floor test in the assembly. The court said they can approach it against any illegal move.

The Lok Sabha MP from Kalyan said, “The Speaker has powers in the Assembly. If someone goes against the whip in the assembly, they have a right. But this does not apply when no one is coming to a meeting. This Tughlaqi decree was issued under pressure and the court has made it clear today.” Srikkanth’s father and senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde is leading the revolt against the Shiv Sena leadership and is led by a large number of party rebels. The MLAs are camping in Guwahati.
