The mercury reached 40 in these areas

According to the report of the Meteorological Department, due to the scorching heat, the mercury even crossed 40 degree Celsius in some areas of Delhi. The highest temperature recorded at 40.5 degree Celsius was recorded in Najafgarh area. Apart from this, 40.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Pitampura, 40.3 in Pusa and 40.1 degree Celsius in Zafarpur. Not a single drop of rain fell on any of the standard centres.

Weather likely to turn by Saturday night

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the activity of Southwest Monsoon, the weather may take a turn till late night on Saturday. As a result, there is a possibility of rain all over Delhi. The maximum temperature can drop to 37 and the minimum temperature can reach 29 degree Celsius. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain on Sunday as well. Due to rain, the maximum temperature can drop further to 33 and the minimum temperature can be recorded up to 29 degree Celsius.

According to meteorologists, due to the axial line of the monsoon passing over central India, the monsoon rains from Delhi have become rough these days. However, Monsoon is likely to be kind to Delhi from next week. In this episode, there is a possibility of heavy rain on July 14 as well.
