The SP has lost the post of Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council. MLC Lal Bihari will now be only the leader of the party instead of the leader of the opposition. A notification in this regard was issued on Thursday. Principal Secretary Dr. Rajesh Singh said that on May 27, MLC Lal Bihari Yadav was made an anti-leadership party because of the SP having 11 members in the Legislative Council. On July 7, only nine members of the SP are left in the House. In such a situation, due to the number of members being less than 10, the recognition of the party as an anti-leader has been abolished.

Tenure of 10 mlc ends
The tenure of 10 members of the Legislative Council has completed. The post of leader of the opposition party of SP has also been abolished. On Thursday, the Special Secretary of the Legislative Council has issued an order in this regard. The members who completed their tenure are Jagjivan Prasad, Balrampur Yadav, Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pathak, Ranvijay Singh, Ram Sundar Das Nishad, Shatrudra Prakash, Atar Singh Rao, Dinesh Chandra, Suresh Kumar Kashyap and Deepak Singh. Their place has been declared vacant since July 7.
