He met his neighbor Shivam (22), who was coming by scooty near Shahpura. The two were friends for three years. But a few months back the girl had broken the friendship. Shivam was furious with this. There was some talk between the two regarding this matter and the accused stabbed the student with a knife.
After being hit one after the other, the girl fell there. When there was noise, the people around started coming towards him. The accused fled away leaving his scooty on the spot. On the complaint of the relatives, the police have registered a case of attempt to murder.
The girl students passing near the spot thought that she had been injured in a road accident. She took out her identity card from her bag and informed the family members about the incident on the phone number. After receiving the news of the accident, the family members reached the spot and got the girl admitted to a private hospital. The family informed the police about the incident. In conversation with the doctors, the police came to know that an attempt has been made to kill the girl student.
As soon as the information was received, the Deputy Commissioner of Police reached the spot and conducted investigation. The police officer had constituted six teams to investigate the matter and nab the accused. During the investigation, a CCTV camera showed the assailant running away. First the police raided his house, but he was found missing from the house. Police raided the possible hideouts of the accused and arrested him late in the night.
During the investigation, the family members of the girl told the police that two months ago they had given a complaint against the accused in the police station. The accused used to chase the girl student and harass her by calling her continuously. On the complaint, the police called the accused to the police station and questioned him. In which the accused had admitted to having made a mistake and had said not to pursue the girl in the future. But the family members allege that as soon as he left the police station, the accused had threatened to kill him. When the family members complained about this, the policemen deferred saying nothing to do.
