The bus was completely damaged in the accident. Several baratis were lying in injured condition outside the bus. When the local residents saw the bus falling into the ditch, they rushed to the rescue. Also informed the police. After this SDPO Ramnagar Dr. Bisham Dubey, SHO Pushpendra Singh and other policemen left for the spot. The police also arrived in about an hour.

After the accident, SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar, SDM Ramnagar Gopal Singh, Tehsildar Shrinath Suman also reached Ramnagar Hospital to know the condition of the injured. There were 56 people in the 45 seater bus. Overloading is also believed to be a major reason for the accident, due to which the bus became uncontrollable at the turn.
Only two ambulances were sent for 50 injured, vehicles passing through the spot had to be helped
Due to the lack of ambulances in Ramnagar Hospital, it was difficult to take the injured of the bus accident to the hospital. The people of Ramnagar expressed their anger towards the Health Department regarding this. Local residents said that there are only two ambulances in Ramnagar Hospital, while their number should be at least five. On getting information about the accident, two ambulances were dispatched from Ramnagar Hospital to the spot, but it was not possible to take 50 injured to the hospital through two ambulances. So the police took the help of vehicles passing by the spot along with their vehicles.
When the residents of Ramnagar came to know about this, they expressed their anger towards the health department. Ward number three councilor Sanjeev Jandiyal and others said that in view of the situation, the health department should have dispatched an ambulance from the nearby PHC as well. But this was not done. At the same time, the number of ambulances in Ramnagar Hospital has not been increased by the department. Thousands of people depend on this hospital. At least five ambulances are needed here. Many times, many officials including the CMO were made aware of this, but no one showed seriousness. Whenever a major accident happens in Ramnagar, it is difficult to take the injured to the hospital due to lack of ambulances.
The injured were sent by sitting in whatever vehicle was seen.

Whatever vehicle the police and local residents saw passing through the spot, the injured were seated in Ramnagar Hospital. It was not possible to take all the injured to the hospital in two ambulances sent by the Health Department. Therefore, the help of vehicles passing on the route was taken. When the treatment of the injured reached the district hospital was started, the doctors declared two injured as dead, while 56 injured were treated. When the condition did not improve after first aid, 15 injured were referred to the district hospital Udhampur. The rest of the injured are under treatment in Ramnagar itself.
