Security forces are tightening the noose on the terrorists present in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists are getting killed in ‘encounters’ happening at very short intervals. In the year 2022 till June 30, 125 terrorists have been killed. During this period 172 terrorists/suspects have been apprehended.
In June alone, 34 terrorists have been killed. The special thing is that 34 of the terrorists killed in the encounter this year are foreigners, the rest are local. This year 69 youths have been recruited in various terrorist organizations. A total of 142 terrorists were recruited in 2021. There are now 141 active terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, including 59 local and 82 foreign terrorists.
The army and other security forces claim that there has been no major infiltration in the recent past. Despite this, the number of foreign terrorists (Pakistani) more than the local terrorists there, raises many big questions.

Then he is considered an active terrorist…
Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces make every effort to get the local terrorists to surrender. However, there has not been much success in this. If we look at the cases of surrender by terrorists, then it is found that one in 2018, none in 2019, 8 in 2020, 2 in 2021 and only two terrorists have surrendered in 2022. An officer associated with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir says that when a youth goes missing there, a missing report is filed. Jammu and Kashmir Police tries to trace the missing youth. After two or three weeks the real game begins. On one hand the relatives of the missing youth and the police are searching for him and on the other hand the picture of that young man comes on social media. In the picture, the young man is seen waving a weapon posing as a member of a terrorist organization. After this, he is considered an active terrorist by the security agencies.

Terrorists trap those who talk about returning to the mainstream
According to the officer, it is well known to the terrorist organizations that the police and the family are engaged in the search for the missing youth. There are many such instances in the Valley, in which many youths have left their arms and joined the mainstream again after some time. Terrorist organizations brainwash the misguided youth. After this, when they feel that the youth is still not ready to follow the path of terror completely and he wants to return to the mainstream, then they make the photo of that young man with the terrorist organization viral. After this the young man gets stuck in the balance. As soon as his photo with the weapon becomes public, the police put his name in the list of active terrorists. In such a situation, that young man, even if he wants, is not able to return to the mainstream. The surrender of only a dozen terrorists in the last four years confirms this story of terrorist organizations.

Action plan ready to stop recruitment of local youth
In May, Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar had said that an action plan has been prepared with the help of social organizations and various security agencies to stop the recruitment of local youth in terrorist organizations. Those people who incite youth to become terrorists are being traced. Action is being taken against such people under the Public Safety Act. They are being arrested. Two terrorists surrendered during an encounter in Kulgam on Wednesday. He was recently recruited into the Lashkar Front-TRF group. The security forces also took help from the parents of both the youths for the surrender. The newly recruited terrorists include Nadeem Abbas Bhat resident of Reshipura Kaimoh and Kafeel Mir, resident of Mirpura Kaimoh. According to the police, these youths were brainwashed. Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar said, “Many lives can be saved if all parents appeal to their children to give up the path of violence and surrender.” Now two terrorists have surrendered, so their lives have also been saved.
