The members of the All India Grahak Panchayat submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister to SDM Paramjit Singh Chahal regarding setting up of a high-level central committee to conduct an investigation alleging corruption regarding the Ayushman card scheme. He told that an RTI was filed by All India Grahak Panchayat Bhopal. From the information received, it was found that there is a scam of crores of rupees in this scheme.
The officials have submitted a memorandum to the SDM and demanded from the Central Government that the Special Investigation Team should be investigated throughout the country to investigate this scheme. The patients and their families should be provided with a clear description of their bill and treatment, the appropriate treatment, which has been used in the disease and investigation, to the patient. Simultaneously all the records should be uploaded on the central portal. Strict action should be taken against corrupt officials and employees including hospital management who are involved in widespread misuse of Ayushman card scheme and scams. The money for illegal recovery from patients should be doubled from the hospital owners. Ayushman cards of fake patients should be canceled. The audit report of all Ayushman-run hospitals should be prepared and investigated. Central portal should be opened, in which the complainant is getting correct information and answers on behalf of the center, there should be accessible platform for making complaints, such as through toll free number, mail id, app which is provided by the central government. work under etc. Pradeep Bansal, National Treasurer, Ajay Bhatia, Ashish Kaushik, SP Singh etc. were present among those who gave the memorandum.
