Greeting the people of Kashi by mentioning seven wars and nine festivals. He said that the soul of Kashi is imperishable, but we are making every effort to bring innovation in the body. Our endeavor is to make Kashi more dynamic, progressive and sensitive. PM Modi said that I am happy to see the way the aware citizens of Kashi have done the work to give direction to the country.

The citizens of Kashi have given a message to the entire country that shortcuts cannot benefit the country. Yes some leaders can. But neither the public is benefited nor the country is benefited. Today we are seeing that when there is long-term planning, then how the results also come out. Where has the infrastructure of Kashi reached in the last 8 years. Farmers, laborers, traders are all benefiting from this. Business is growing, business is growing, tourism is expanding.

Earlier in the beginning of the address, PM Modi said that the people of Uttar Pradesh and the people of my Kashi supported me with enthusiasm and enthusiasm in the assembly elections. That is why today, when I have come among you for the first time after the election, I respectfully thank the people of Kashi and the people of Uttar Pradesh.

Today we are once again giving impetus to the festival of development that is going on in the divine, grand, new Kashi for the last 8 years. Kashi has always been alive and in constant flux. Now Kashi has shown a picture to the whole country which has heritage as well as development. When one project ends in Kashi, four new projects start. Even today, dozens of projects worth Rs 1,700 crore have been inaugurated and the foundation stone has been laid in Kashi.

Before 2014, people used to say, how will it happen?
Projects related to roads, water, electricity, health, education, sanitation and beautification have been completed in Kashi. PM Modi said that I remember that after coming in 2014, people coming from outside in Kashi used to question that it is so chaotic here, how will it be okay. Wherever you look in Banaras, the need for change was seen. It was clear that no work had been done in the development of Banaras for decades. Give this to the people, give that to the people… more than that his thinking did not go any further. People used to think that who should work so hard. But today the world is watching the development here.

While addressing his Kashi, PM Modi said that Baba devotees from the country and the world are going to come to Kashi in large numbers. This will be the first Sawan festival after the completion of Vishwanath Dham project. You have experienced yourself in the past months how much enthusiasm is there in the whole world about Vishwanath Dham. The devotees of Baba will also get the experience of divine, grand and navy Kashi here during Sawan. It is the commitment of all of us to provide uninterrupted experience of faith and spirituality in Kashi to devotees and tourists from all over the world.

PM Modi said that for us development does not mean just glitter. For us, development means empowerment of the poor, downtrodden, deprived, backward, tribal, mothers and sisters. Today more than 600 poor families of Varanasi have got their pucca house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Many congratulations to the colleagues whose dream of home has been fulfilled today.

We are working fast on the resolutions to provide pucca house to every poor family and to connect every rural family with piped water. Work has already started on dozens of water projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission. This will greatly facilitate thousands of families and especially the sisters.

PM Modi said that I thank the people of Varanasi that you not only made me an MP but also gave me a chance to serve. Our government has always tried to solve the problems of the poor, tried to support them in their happiness and sorrow. From the free vaccine of Corona to the provision of free ration to the poor, the government has left no opportunity to serve you.

On one hand we are expanding the facilities for CNAG running vehicles to make the cities of the country smoke free. On the other hand, we are also giving the option of connecting diesel and petrol boats of our sailors who take care of Ganga ji with CNG.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Kashi has always been a city of knowledge, faith and spirituality. There is also a rich tradition of sports here. Today I can see the enthusiasm of the players here. I feel that the new stadium being built here in Kashi is going to take Kashi to new heights. We all have to make efforts to keep this stream of continuous development of Kashi flowing like Ganga ji. We should never forget the resolution we have taken for the cleanliness of Kashi and Ganga ji.
