Even after the split in Shiv Sena in Maharashtra and Eknath Shinde becoming the CM, the matter is not completely settled yet. Once again on Thursday, former CM Uddhav Thackeray has got a setback. According to the latest developments, in a setback to Shiv Sena, former MP Anandrao Adsul has resigned from the post of leader of the party. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde, the new CM of Maharashtra, formally took charge after reaching the CM’s office. During this, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis was also present.
Former MP Anandrao Adsul was an MP from Amravati Lok Sabha seat but lost to Navneet Rana in 2019. His son Abhijit Adsul gave information about his resignation from the post of party leader. He said that his father has resigned from the post of Shiv Sena leader.
During this, when he was asked whether he would join the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde? On this Anandrao’s son Abhijeet said that my father will continue to be a Shiv Sainik.
Significantly, former CM Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena’s senior leader Eknath Shinde had revolted from the party. Most of the party MLAs took the side of Eknath Shinde. Due to which the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of Thackeray fell. After which, during the political drama that lasted for more than a week, CM Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister on 29 June and a day after that Shinde was sworn in as the CM of the state. On the same day, former CM Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Deputy CM of Maharashtra.
