According to the police, all three including Majhi died on the spot. The attackers fled from the spot after the incident. The attack took place at Canning in South 24 Parganas district at around 9 am today. Majhi was going somewhere by bike with his two companions. Then some attackers stopped them and fired indiscriminately. All three died on the spot. Manjhi was a TMC panchayat member from Canning.
