In order to provide convenience to the passengers, now in the Agra Railway Division, the tickets of the passengers with waiting tickets will be confirmed even in the moving train. In the first phase, this facility was in premium trains, now passengers will be able to avail it in all trains. TTEs have been provided with 101 Hand Held Terminal Devices (HHT) at Agra Cantt, 18 at Agra Fort and 25 at Mathura Junction.
Senior DCM Aman Verma informed that HHT has been provided with latest gadgets to the ticket checking staff. It will be loaded along with the passenger reservation chart. As it is linked to passenger reservation, the Central Server of Passenger Reservation System is updated from time to time through GPRS booking details of tickets at each station where the train stops.
Transparency will come in berth allocation
Passengers with Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) or waiting list tickets can check with HHT about the availability of vacant berths on real time basis. This will bring transparency in allotment of berths in trains running for RAC or waiting list passengers. HST can also be used to collect and issue additional fare, fines and other charges from passengers. The receipt for the same will prevent the HHT on board ticket checking staff from carrying the printed reservation chart.
