In the statement given to the police, Nayak Panni Raju told that Havildar Gauri Shankar, Telangi Suryakant and accused Lokesh Kumar live in the same barrack with him. At a time, 3/3 of the jawans are on duty. He was on duty at around one o’clock in the night of Sunday-Monday.

The accused Lokesh was on surveillance outside the barracks. At around 2 pm, he reached his barrack with Havildar Telangi and Gauri Shankar and slept. Suddenly at two o’clock there was the sound of gunshots. He saw that Lokesh had an Ensas rifle in his hand. At the same time, Havildar Telangi and Gauri Shankar were lying in a pool of blood. During this, the rest of the jawans also got up, then the accused left the rifle and ran away. He took the injured to the Military Hospital. Where he died during treatment.

Accused Lokesh secretly took out the key from under the constable’s pillow and opened the barracks and opened fire with the rifle. Police have registered a case of murder and Arms Act against the accused constable.
