The scorching heat continues in the capital. In this episode, Wednesday was also no less than a punishment for the people. It was sunny throughout the day and people were suffering from the humidity. In between, the clouds encamped and light rain was recorded at few places. The department has forecast that light rain may be recorded at some places in the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday, the maximum temperature was 38.6 degrees Celsius, two above normal and the minimum temperature was also two more than normal at 29.4 degrees Celsius. It was sunny throughout the day and the humidity level was high. The humidity level in the air ranged from 52 to 83 per cent. At the same time, 1.5 mm of rain was recorded at Jafarpur Standard Center and two mm at Mayur Vihar Standard Center.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that the weather can turn on Thursday and rain can be recorded with thunderstorms. The maximum temperature is expected to be 36 and the minimum temperature is up to 28 degree Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain for two consecutive days. After this, there is a possibility of heavy rain on July 9, due to which the heat will loosen and the mercury will drop.
