Due to rain, this match was of 12-12 overs. Batting first, Ireland scored 108 runs for four wickets. The biggest contribution was made by Harry Tector. He played a stormy innings of 64 runs in 33 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. Indian captain Hardik Pandya has also praised Harry Tector for this innings. However, thanks to the brilliant batting of Deepak Hooda and Hardik Pandya, Team India managed to win the match in 9.2 overs. After registering the win at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin on Sunday, Hardik said – Harry Tector played some great shots and obviously he is just 22 years old. I also gifted him a bat so that he can hit some more sixes and also get an IPL contract. I wish them all the best. All they need is good training and right guidance. Hardik said – not just cricket, Harry needs to understand his purpose. He has to see what he can lose if he doesn’t bat well. The day he understands these things, he will surely be successful. Not only the IPL, Harry will then present his claim for leagues around the world. Team India had sent Deepak Hooda to open with Ishan Kishan in place of Rituraj Gaikwad in the first T20. Hardik told about this decision that there was pain in the muscles of Rituraj. For this reason he was forced to send Hooda as an opener. Hardik said- We had the option of sending Rituraj to the opening by taking the risk, but I did not agree with it. It is more important for a player to be fit. We are not harmed by this decision. Talking about the match, Team India achieved Ireland’s target of 109 runs by losing three wickets in 9.2 overs. Deepak Hooda scored 47 runs in 29 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. At the same time, Ishan Kishan scored 26 runs in 11 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. Apart from this, captain Hardik played an innings of 24 runs in 12 balls with the help of one four and three sixes. With this win, Team India has taken an unassailable 1-0 lead in the two-match T20I series.
