Amrita told that Devendra Fadnavis was silently active amidst the rebellion of the Shinde faction and the political crisis on the Uddhav government. Even though he kept saying in front of everyone that BJP has nothing to do with it, but Devendra often changed his clothes and went out at night to meet Eknath Shinde. It is the result of this secret meeting of both of them that from Chanakya Sharad Pawar of Maharashtra politics to CM Uddhav Thackeray and political pundits did not even hear the news of the rebellion.
Fadnavis was difficult to identify
Amrita Fadnavis says, Devendra Fadnavis often used to visit Eknath Shinde during the night time. For this he used to change his clothes. They take on such a form that it becomes difficult for me to recognize them. Amrita says that Devendra often went out wearing a big jacket, big glasses and different clothes. Amrita further says, she did not know what was going to happen, but definitely knew that something big was going to happen.
Shinde also said, he used to meet Devendra
Earlier, Eknath Shinde himself has also said that he often used to meet Devendra Fadnavis at night. In the assembly, he had said that he used to visit Fadnavis when all the MLAs were asleep and would return to the hotel before he woke up. Even the MLAs who supported Shinde did not know when and where he would meet Fadnavis.
