Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde in an interview elaborated his stand on many points including the revolt with Shiv Sena, Mahavikas Aghadi, discussion with Uddhav Thackeray. Shinde clearly said that Shiv Sena was not getting any benefit even after Thackeray was the CM. He had talked to Uddhav Thackeray many times about this, but we were not able to convince him.
Shinde said that Shiv Sena was not getting any benefit from Maha Vikas Aghadi. Despite our party being the CM, we came at number 4 in the nagar panchayat elections. CM Shinde also said that we are not doing anything illegal. We have to work according to the rules, laws and constitution. Today, we have more than 2/3 majority, so our decision is legal. Our MLAs were unable to get the work done
Shinde said that during the erstwhile MVA government, our MLAs also faced difficulty in doing the work of their constituencies, as allies were trying to empower those who had lost to them. Due to paucity of funds, our MLAs were not able to do development work. We talked to seniors, but to no avail, our 40-50 MLAs revolted.

Took this step for Hindutva
Shinde said there was public perception that BJP does anything for power, but they showed that these 50 people (Shinde faction) have taken this step for Hindutva. BJP’s agenda is development and Hindutva. Despite having more MLAs, BJP supported us and also supported for the post of CM.

Center and PM Modi with us for development
Maharashtra CM said that PM Narendra Modi has asked me to take the state forward on the path of development. He also said that he and the central government stand with us. This is a big deal. We have not done anything illegal as we had a pre-poll alliance with the BJP.
