SpiceJet’s SG-11 flight from Delhi to Dubai made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan after a technical snag. Giving information about the incident, a SpiceJet spokesperson said that the SpiceJet aircraft was diverted towards Karachi due to a technical fault in the indicator light. The plane landed safely in Karachi and the passengers were deboarded safely. The spokesperson further said that no emergency was declared during the landing and the aircraft had a normal landing. Another plane is being sent to Karachi which will take the passengers to Dubai. A total of 150 passengers were on board this plane.

Officials said the Delhi-Dubai Boeing 737 MAX plane started showing an unusual decrease in the amount of fuel from its left tank while it was in the air. So the plane was diverted towards Karachi. Officials said that when inspection was carried out at Karachi airport, no leak was noticed from the left tank.

Sixth incident in 17 days
This is the sixth such incident in a SpiceJet aircraft in the last 17 days. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing all the six incidents.

Know when accidents are averted
On July 2 of the same month, there was a problem with the SpiceJet aircraft. The plane going from Delhi to Jabalpur had an emergency landing due to technical reasons. While passing 5000 thousand feet above, there was sudden smoke in the cabin, after which an emergency landing was made. More than 100 passengers were on board the plane.

On June 25, the SpiceJet aircraft, which was set to take off from Patna airport for Guwahati, had to be grounded due to a malfunction. The warning light started bling before take-off and the pilot turned it back after informing the control room. It was rescheduled for 11 pm but could not take off due to a technical glitch. There were 60 passengers on this plane.

On June 19 also, there was an accident in the SpiceJet plane when the plane going from Patna to Delhi caught fire. The fire broke out due to a fault in the engine, causing panic among the passengers. There were 185 passengers on board the plane. However, the company said that the accident happened due to a bird colliding during the flight.
