Farah Khan On Her Marriage: Farah Khan recently participated in a TV show, in which Mika Singh is looking for his life partner. During the shoot, the choreographer-turned-filmmaker spoke about her married life. Recalling the early years of her marriage with Shirish Kunder, she said that it was a very difficult time.
Farah said, “I think there is no standard age to get married, you should get married when you find the right person. I wanted to run away in my first year of marriage because it’s very difficult to adjust.” Farah and Shirish Kunder tied the knot in December 2004. The couple welcomed the trio – Anya, Diva and Jar – in 2008.
Recently, Farah spoke openly about the failure of her third directorial venture Tees Maar Khan. He said, “I still remember how Tees Maar Khan broke me and though people said a lot about it. The film made money too.”
Farah told that she has been a fighter and survivor. She told that she did not want to go out of the house after Tees Maar Khan flopped. But his mother-in-law had helped him a lot to emerge from this difficulty in time. He said, “Even though I was winning an award for the choreography of Sheela Ki Jawani. My mother-in-law encouraged me to go for it. So, through time and ups and downs, I grew older and wiser, and I had children. With time everything changed. Today, I have realized that whatever is yours will come to you. I am no longer insecure. I used to be that person, and I hate that feeling today. Of course, as in human nature, there are times when someone’s film doesn’t do well, people rejoice. This is the specialty of an industry and what can we do with it. Today, I know that my film will be made with whomever and whoever is destined for it.”
