Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Brahmastra’ is one of the much awaited films of the year 2022, which is releasing on 9th September on Pan India level. The trailer of this film came out some time back, in which Ranbir Kapoor was seen wearing shoes and ringing the temple bell, due to which the film was accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. Not only this, ‘Boycott Brahmastra’ started trending on Twitter, after which the director of the film Ayan Mukerji had to come forward and clarify. Ayan had told that in the film Ranbir is not entering the temple but in the Durga Puja pandal.

The film ‘PK’, released in the year 2018, earned a bumper at the box office, but before the release, this film also had to face a lot of controversies. There were many such scenes in the film, due to which the film’s director Rajkumar Hirani and actor Aamir Khan were heavily criticized. In this film some customs of religions were shown as superstitions. However, gradually the controversy related to this film itself was pacified.

Padmavat

The film ‘Padmavat’ is also included in this list, before its release, there was a lot of uproar across the country. The story of the film is based on the queen Padmavati of Chittor and was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. People alleged that the image of Rani Padmavati was being maligned through this film. In such a situation, people had fiercely criticized Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the film’s actress Deepika Padukone. At the same time, the name of the film was changed to get out of this whole ruckus. Initially the name of the film was ‘Padmavati’, which was changed to ‘Padmaavat’.

Goliyon Ki Ram-Leela

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s film also did not save itself from getting into controversies, which was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. There was a lot of ruckus in the name of the film. When the name of the film was announced, it was given the title ‘Ram Leela’. On the other hand, the dispute between two communities was also shown in this film. Shortly before the release of the film, its name was changed to ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’.
