There has been a tussle between Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad regarding the transfers in the Health Department. The Deputy Chief Minister has written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary, explaining the reason for the transfer and has sought full details. Whereas the Additional Chief Secretary says that the transfers have been done as per the rules and on the approval of the Deputy Chief Minister.
From doctors to employees, transfers have been made in the health department. After the question was raised on the transfer, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has summoned the complete details including the list from Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad. It also said that there is a shortage of specialist doctors in the big hospitals of Lucknow and other districts. In such a situation, doctors have been transferred in many places, but no other doctor has been posted there.
In such a situation, the details of what arrangements have been made for the operation of the concerned hospital should be made available. Similarly, there is no doctor working in the concerned district or division of any doctor with more duration than the doctors who have been transferred. He has also asked that how many Medical Officers are affiliated in different places and their list should be provided along with the details taken on their affiliation.
Recently, there have been transfers from doctors to employees in the health department. When employee organizations raised questions on these transfers, the Deputy Chief Minister has written a letter asking the Additional Chief Secretary for full details including the list.
