A double murder has created a stir in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A double murder has happened near Barra-2 Yadav Market in Kanpur. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
According to the information, this incident of double murder took place near Barra-2 Yadav Market in Kanpur. Munna Lal Gupta (61) and his wife Raj Devi (55), retired from the post of Supervisor from Field Gun Factory, have been murdered by slitting their throats. Son Anoop Uttam (30) and daughter (25) Komal were in the house at the time of the incident.
Anoop told that in 2017 he was married to Sonika of Bindki. The wife’s balance was bad, due to which she went back to her maternal home after 4 days. Since then his divorce case was going on in the court. Anoop alleged that his elder brother-in-law Surendra and younger brother-in-law Mayank, living in Barra-2, used to threaten to kill him every day.

According to Anoop, on Monday night at around 8:30, everyone slept after drinking juice. The son was sleeping in the upstairs room while the couple and daughter were sleeping in the downstairs room. According to Anoop, at around 2:00 pm, the sister came and told that the mother and father have been murdered below. Hearing this, his senses were blown away, after which he informed the police. On receiving the information, the force of four police stations including the commissioner reached the spot. Police and forensic team is engaged in the investigation.
Suspect seen in CCTV camera
CCTV cameras installed in the neighborhood showed a suspect entering the house at 11:54 pm while a suspicious person was seen leaving the house at around 2:15 pm. A white cloth was tied over his mouth. He left the house and went towards Sankat Mochan temple.
