Police have arrested 22-year-old suspected assailant Robert E Cremo III alias Bobby, who opened fire during a parade to commemorate American Independence Day (July 4) in Chicago’s Highland Park. He was trying to escape in a white Honda car. He is a singer and has sung many popular songs.
On Monday, Bobby fired indiscriminately from the roof of a building near Highland Park. In this firing, 6 people were killed and 57 were injured. There was panic in the parade ground due to sudden firing. People ran away in panic.
According to the police, many people who escaped from the parade site told that they had seen many dead bodies covered in blood. According to the Chicago Sun-Times report, the parade started at 10 a.m. and the firing started just 10 minutes later. The US Federal Investigation Agency (FBI) has identified the accused in the Highland Park shooting as Robert E Crimo III aka Bobby.
Suspected attacker caught several hours later
The suspected accused, Robert Cremo, was fleeing in a Honda car. This car had the number plate of the state of Illinois. According to an online agency detailing the suspects, he has a slim face and tattoos on his neck. It was on the basis of this identity that he was arrested.
