Tees Maar Khan Flopped: Film producer, choreographer Farah Khan has recently completed three decades in the film industry. During this, Farah told that she was very disappointed when her film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ did not get good response from the audience. While the film did not do well at the box office, Farah said that she does not feel like stepping out of the house.
Akshay Kumar in Tees Maar Khan and Katrina Kaif (Katrina Kaif) played the lead role. Farah directed the film, while it was written by her husband Shirish Kunder and her brother Ashmith Kunder. Its song ‘Sheela Ki Jawani’ was a huge hit and Farah won the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography.

Talking about how ‘Tees Maar Khan’ influenced her, Farah told Bombay Times, “I still remember how Tees Maar Khan was sabotaged and though people raved about it Said many things, the film earned money. I have been a fighter and a survivor. After ‘Tees Maar Khan’, I didn’t want to go out, even though I was winning an award for choreography for ‘Sheela Ki Jawani’. My mother-in-law encouraged me to go for it. So, through time and ups and downs, I grew older and wiser, and I had children.”
why not directing
Farah said that she is no longer insecure about her work. However, it looks like he has no immediate plans to wear the director’s hat again. She said, “I am in a comfort zone today. I haven’t made a film in a few years, but I have been busy, either doing shows, acting in commercials or directing ad films. I’ve found my own area of work where I’m comfortable and still as busy as I want to be. I wanted to spend time with my kids. And yet, albeit a little slow, We used to really chill together during the lockdown.”

Farah made her directorial debut in 2004 with Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and Suniel Shetty’s hit film Main Hoon Na. His last directed film was ‘Happy New Year’. He also hosted the celebrity talk show ‘Tere Mere Beach Mein’. Later, Farah went on to do Indian Idol – Season 1 and 2 – Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. ‘l Masters) as a judge on TV reality shows.
