Elders are on target of cyber thugs in Faridabad, they are easily successful in trapping them.
An awareness program was organized to save the elderly who are victims of cyber fraud, in which they were told about the measures to avoid cyber fraud. Organized by Senior Citizens Forum, the event was organized by Hardicon Limited, a joint venture of banks and financial institutions under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. In the program, special information was given about cyber security, online services and mobile apps.
AK Bhatnagar, Project Head, Hardicon Limited, Project Co-ordinators Arun Sahni and Akhil Bhatnagar gave information about doctor’s appointment through mobile apps, booking Ola, Uber etc. and ordering goods from Amazon and Flipkart. He answered the questions of the elders and warned them to avoid any tempting time. Experts said that do not tell OTP when you get a call from any unknown number, nor do not share your personal information like password etc. with anyone. Talking about the statistics, every day more than half a dozen people are becoming victims of cyber fraud.
