hear the news
There are 33 thousand 936 such farmers in Rae Bareli district, who are taking benefit of PM Samman Nidhi even after being dead in the documents. This has been revealed in the report sent from the Directorate of Agriculture, Lucknow. On the basis of the list sent by the directorate, the Agriculture Department has sent letters to the sub-district magistrates of six tehsils of the district asking them to get the deceased farmers verified.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in 2019. Under the scheme, six thousand rupees are being sent to the account of every farmer in a year. In the month of June, from the Directorate of Agriculture to the Office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, a list of farmers who are beneficiaries of PM Samman Nidhi Yojana has been sent, but they have died.
On the letter of the directorate, the Agriculture Department has asked the sub-divisional magistrates of Salon, Lalganj, Rae Bareli, Dalmau, Unchahar, Maharajganj tehsils to get the verification work done by giving a list of the deceased farmers. Officers say that only after the verification of the tehsil, it will be known that which deceased farmer took the benefit of PM Samman Nidhi.
On coming to know about this, the concerned money will be recovered from their families. It is said that not only Rae Bareli, but in all the districts of the state, the directorate has been asked to conduct an inquiry by sending a list of the deceased farmers. It is obvious that even in taking advantage of PM Samman Nidhi, standards are being kept in check.
