The hearing was held on Monday after the summer vacation in the matter of preserving the regular darshan of Shringar Gauri and other deities at Gyanvapi, Varanasi. On behalf of five women including Rakhi Singh, hearing was held in the court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh. In this today the Muslim side presented its arguments. After this, the court fixed July 12 as the next date of hearing.
There is a debate in the court on whether the suit is maintainable under Order 7 Rule 11 on the order of the Supreme Court. Today, advocate Abhay Yadav, on behalf of the Muslim side Anjuman Inazaniya Masajid Committee, argued in the court. He will explain the grounds for dismissal of the suit on the next date. Earlier, only the plaintiff-respondent and advocates were allowed to enter the courtroom for the hearing. A large number of forces were deployed in the court premises. The vigil was also increased at the entrance.
Here, Rakhi Singh, one of the Hindu parties, has removed Supreme Court advocates Harishankar Jain and Vishnu Jain. Manbahadur Singh, Shivam Gaur and Anupam Dwivedi will fight the case. In this regard, Vakalatnama was filed on behalf of Rakhi Singh in the court. Before the hearing on Monday, Rakhi Singh’s advocate Jitendra Singh Bisen had also leveled several allegations against Harishankar Jain and Vishnu Jain.
