Vikram Vedha Controvesry: Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha remains in the headlines for many reasons. There are constant reports about the film that its budget has increased a lot due to the tantrums of the stars of the film, and many times it is reported that its starcast has been very demanding. Now a statement has been issued on behalf of the makers of the film regarding all these controversies.
Recently, the latest reports had surfaced that Hrithik Roshan had demanded the set of the film in UAE instead of shooting the film in Uttar Pradesh. Reliance Entertainment, which co-produced the film, denied the reports in a statement on Monday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the statement on his Twitter account, in which Reliance Entertainment confirmed filming in Abu Dhabi, but called the reports “misleading”.
The statement said, “We are seeing a lot of misleading and completely baseless reporting on ‘Vikram Vedha’ shooting locations. We would like to categorically state that Vikram Vedha was shot extensively in India including Lucknow A portion of the film was shot in Mumbai, United Arab Emirates in October-November 2021 as it was the only location that provided the infrastructure for Bio-Bubble, which could accommodate a crew of such scale. Used to also allow the construction of sets in the studio during the preceding months of shooting.”
Reliance Entertainment further clarified, “We decided to do so out of health and protocol concerns. Any attempt to twist these sets of facts is clearly mischievous and untrue.” The production house also said that the actors in their films are usually not involved in making such decisions.
“Furthermore, we would like to emphasize that at Reliance Entertainment we welcome suggestions from creative talent, but production and budgeting decisions are a centralized prerogative,” he added. Vikram Vedha is the Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil hit of the same name which starred R Madhavan as Vikram and Vijay Sethupathi as Vedha. Saif Ali Khan is in the role of Vikram and Hrithik Vedha in this remake, releasing on 30 September. Both the films are helmed by the director duo Pushkar-Gayatri.
