All the documents you will have, there will be many such documents which you will need on a daily basis. Like- your Aadhar card and PAN card. Whether to open an account in a bank, get a credit card, take a loan or do other government and non-government work etc. For these you need Aadhar card and PAN card. On the other hand it is also mandatory to link PAN card with Aadhar card, otherwise many of your work may get stuck and you may have to pay fine. In such a situation, people are linking PAN card with Aadhaar, but in the meantime people are confused whether it is mandatory to link all of them? If you are also confused about this, then let us tell you for whom it is not mandatory to link PAN card with Aadhar card. You can learn more about it in the next slides…
First know, if the link is not done then what will be the loss:-
- PAN card may be deactivated, then fine may be imposed
- Due to inactive PAN card, more money will be deducted on TDS or DCS
- Transactions of more than 50 thousand rupees and will not be able to take FD of more than the same amount
- Credit and debit cards will not be able to be made and there may be problems in taking loans.
For which people it is not necessary to link:-
- If you do not have Aadhar Card, Aadhar Number or Enrollment ID
- People who are non-residents under Income Tax Act 1961
- If you are 80 years old or older
- People who are over 80 years old as of last year
