In the capital on Sunday, people were troubled by the scorching sun during the day, but there was relief from rain in the afternoon. The rain and sun continued till the evening. The Meteorological Department has forecast that in the next 24 hours, cloudy sky with light rain can be recorded at some places.
The Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert for Sunday and expressed the possibility of rain. Delhi’s official standard center Safdarjung recorded 0.1 mm of rain. At the same time, maximum 22 mm of rain has been received in the Ridge region.
Delhi’s maximum temperature was 35.7 degrees Celsius, one below normal and the minimum temperature was 26.2 degrees Celsius, two below normal. The humidity level in the air was recorded in the range of 62 to 83 per cent.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that in the next 24 hours, cloudy sky with light rain may be recorded at some places. The maximum temperature is expected to be 36 and the minimum temperature is up to 27 degree Celsius. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Delhi on 6th July.
