Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday. In view of his visit, 3000 policemen have been deployed in Bhimavaram and Gannavaram. The arrangements for the PM’s visit have been hampered due to heavy rains in Bhimavaram since Saturday.
Due to the rain, the PM’s public meeting place in Pedamiram has turned muddy. Rajat Bhargava, the nodal officer and special chief secretary (tourism and culture) for the PM’s program, reviewed the preparations on Sunday.
The PM will land at Vijayawada International Airport in Gannavaram in a special plane from Hyderabad at 10:10 am on Monday. He will be received here by Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
From here the PM will leave for Bhimavaram by helicopter and will unveil the statue of the great freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju at 11 am. He will address a public meeting on Raju’s 125th birth anniversary. He will return to Vijayawada airport from here at around 1:05 pm and will go to Ahmedabad from there.
