Former Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan on Sunday slammed the BJP-JDU coalition government in Bihar. He said the BJP and Nitish Kumar were looking for their ‘Eknath Shinde’ to humiliate each other, who could pull the carpet from under the feet of his own party to benefit the rival.
Conspiracy of Nitish Kumar to defect four MLAs of AIMIM
Chirag Paswan accused both the parties of being in alliance only for power and accused the BJP of surrendering to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on ideological issues. Also alleged that the departure of four AIMIM MLAs in RJD is a conspiracy by Nitish Kumar.
RJD snatches biggest party status from BJP
Addressing the media, he said that the AIMIM MLAs were in touch with JD(U) as they did not have much future in the RJD party and also had very little presence in Bihar. But, instead of joining the CM’s party, he joined the RJD. Nitish Kumar was behind this development as now RJD has snatched the status of single largest party from BJP.
Chirag had separately contested the 2020 assembly elections
In the 2020 assembly elections, from the issue of NRC to the caste census, Chirag Paswan had decided to leave the NDA alliance and go to the elections alone. However, a section of some JDU leaders believe that Chirag Paswan had the tacit approval of the BJP in this.
But after the result of the election, all the maths collapsed, the government was formed by JDU and BJP. Within days of joining the party formed by his late father Ram Vilas Paswan, uncle Pashupati Paras revolted and left Chirag out of the party. Chirag Paswan, who replaced Paras Paswan in the Union Cabinet, was left midway by the BJP.
