Justice B Veerappa of the Karnataka High Court cautioned the lawyers not to make false allegations against the judges and the judiciary. The senior judge of the High Court also said that if he himself has done something wrong, he is ready to cut his head by standing between the Vidhana-Soudh (state assembly) and the Karnataka High Court.

At a farewell ceremony organized by the Baddagaluru Advocates Association on the retirement of High Court Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi, Justice Veerappa said that he is ready to face the punishment if he has done anything wrong.

At the same time, he asked the president of the association, Vivek Reddy, to give some advice to his members who are making such allegations. It is being told that he is upset with the allegations being leveled against the judges by some lawyers. In his statement, Reddy said the association would discuss the issue.
