Due to the doubling of Jhansi-Kanpur railway track, ten trains plying on this route were diverted through alternate routes. In addition, four passenger trains were cancelled. On Saturday, Gwalior-Barauni mail was sent to Kanpur Central via Gwalior-Bhind-Etawah. Similarly Panvel Gorakhpur (15066), Pune-Gorakhpur (15030), Gorakhpur Yeshwatpur (12591) were sent from Jhansi to Gwalior via Etawah to Kanpur Central.
Other trains including Lokmanya Tilak-Sitapur (12107), Lokmanya Tilak-Gorakhpur (11079), Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak (11080), Gorakhpur-Kochuvelli (12511) were also sent from Agra Cantt to Kanpur via Etawah. Due to this, it took them about two hours extra time to travel till Kanpur. Apart from this, Mau-Lokmanya Tilak (01252) was canceled on Saturday. From Friday, other trains including Ahmedabad-Darbhanga (09465), Hyderabad-Gorakhpur (02575), Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Kamakhya (19305) were canceled.

On Sunday, Gorakhpur Hyderabad 02576, Kamakhya – Dr Ambedkar Nagar 19306 will remain canceled while train numbers 12143, 12174, 12511 and many others will be taken forward with the help of alternate routes.
