this was the whole incident
Significantly, investigators believe that the murder of 54-year-old chemist Umesh Prahladrao Kolhe in Amravati district as part of a conspiracy was due to the support of Nupur Sharma’s controversial statements on the prophet. In the complaint given to the police in the matter, it has been said that the incident took place between 10.30 pm on June 21, when Umesh Kolhe was going after closing his medical store. Son Sanket was with him on another scooter. According to the complainant, “While we were going towards Prabhat Chowk, Umesh was suddenly stopped by two motorcyclists near the gate of Women’s College New High School. One of the attackers then stabbed him with a knife on the left side of his throat. Due to this, Umesh fell on the road covered in blood. Son Sanket says that after this incident he called for help and but the attackers had fled. With the help of some people around, Umesh was admitted to the nearby Exxon Hospital. However, he died during treatment.
According to media reports, during the investigation, the police came to know that Kolhe had made a post viral on WhatsApp a few days ago in support of Nupur Sharma. By mistake, this message of his also went to the group in which many of his Muslim customers were also associated. One of the accused linked to the massacre said that Kolhe supported anyone who showed disrespect to the Prophet, so he had to die.
