Batting at number seven or below, Jadeja became the fourth batsman for India to score two centuries in a calendar year. Kapil Dev did this for the first time in 1986. He scored 119 against Australia in Chennai and 163 against Sri Lanka in Kanpur. Mahendra Singh Dhoni did this in 2009. Then he scored 110 against Sri Lanka in Ahmedabad and 100 not out against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.

In 2010, Harbhajan Singh added his name to the list. He scored 115 against New Zealand in Ahmedabad. After that he scored an unbeaten 111 in Hyderabad in the next match against the Kiwi team. Talk about Jadeja, before scoring 104 against England in this match, scored an unbeaten 175 against Sri Lanka in Mohali in March.
Another achievement for Pant-Jadeja
This is the fifth time a player batting at the fifth and seventh order has scored a century for India. The last time this happened was in January 1997. Then Sachin Tendulkar scored 169 and Mohammad Azharuddin scored 115 runs.

Jadeja’s 2500+ and 200+ Wickets
Jadeja is one of the best all-rounders in India. He has got more than 200 wickets in Tests as well as more than 2500 runs in his name. He is the third player to do so. Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin have achieved this feat.
Jadeja equal to Ashwin
Jadeja has reached at par with Ashwin in terms of scoring a century while batting at the seventh or lower order. Both have three centuries to their name. Kapil Dev had scored seven and Mahendra Singh Dhoni had scored four centuries.
