Todd Robinson, Assistant Minister for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, will raise the issue of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim during his visit to Pakistan. Apart from US-Pak cooperation, he will also talk on drugs, gender issues, international crime and border security during his four-day visit.
To a question about Robinson raising the issue of Karachi-based Dawood Ibrahim’s international criminal and narcotics network, a US State Department official said, “With Pakistan they will raise the issue of international organized crime and drug trafficking.”
According to the report of Global Straight View, the US official said, we raise such issues at every opportunity. The US Treasury Department has designated Dawood Ibrahim a global terrorist.
Racket spread in UK-Europe
Dawood’s racket is involved in large-scale drug smuggling in Britain and Western Europe. He provides funds for attacks to terrorists with the aim of destabilizing India. His International Crime Syndicate (D Company) is spread across India, Pakistan and the UAE which deals with drug smuggling, extortion and murders.
