With the launch of the new 2022 Brezza, Maruti Suzuki once again aims to become the leader in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment in the country. The outgoing Vitara Brezza model was quite popular and sold well. This Kia has come in a new avatar to take on the rivals like Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon. The new Brezza comes with more technology and modern features than before. Hence, it will give tough competition to the rivals in its segment. Here we are telling you what is new in the new Brezza and how different it is from the old model.
Though the 2022 Brezza is offered as an ‘all-new’ version, it retains the same global c/tech platform as the older version. Due to this, its wheelbase is 2,500 mm as before. And even its length and width are the same as the old model. Although the new version is slightly higher than the old version. Both have the same boot space of 328 liters.
new brezza | Used Vitara Brezza | |
length | 3,995mm | 3,995mm |
Width | 1,790mm | 1,790mm |
Height | 1,685mm | 1,640mm |
wheelbase | 2,500mm | 2,500mm |
how is the look and design
The exterior design of the Brezza is more attractive as it incorporates many premium design elements in comparison to the outgoing model. As the front grille (top-spec variant) gets a gun-metal finish, the bonnet is wider. Its bumpers are sportier and there is body cladding all around. Dual LED projector lamps and LED fog lamps are also available in the High variant. The dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels are also new.
At the rear of the SUV, the new Brezza gets slimmer LED tail lamps and louder Brezza badging runs on the tailgate. There are dual-tone color options on the ZXI and ZXI+ variants. Maruti is also offering special exterior design packages called ‘Terascape’ and ‘Metroscape’. Overall, the design has been made quite sleek, and the new Brezza looks like a modern SUV of today.
Interior and Features
Like the recently updated Baleno, a lot of work has been done to make the cabin of the new Brezza more modern than its previous model. The dashboard design is completely new, and the SUV now comes with a dual-tone black-brown scheme (all-black in the LXI and VXI trims). The steering wheel, instrument cluster and the 9-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system are new and remind you of the Baleno’s cabin. It gets lots of new features.
