India has got a major breakthrough in the development of unmanned fighter aircraft. DRDO successfully test-fired the first aircraft of the Autonomous Flying Wing Technology Demonstrator on Friday. The specialty of this aircraft is that it can fly without a pilot. The entire work from takeoff to landing can be done without any help.
Successful test at the Aeronautical Test Range at Chitradurga
DRDO said in a statement that this test was successfully carried out on Friday at the Aeronautical Test Range in Chitradurga, Karnataka. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is also known as Autonomous Flying Wing Technology Demonstrator. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense said that the aircraft operated in a completely autonomous mode. The aircraft made a successful flight which included take off, way point navigation and smooth touchdown. This aircraft is a milestone in the development of pilotless aircraft of the future. It is also an important step towards self-reliance.

DRDO said that the aircraft took off successfully. Carry out this test myself. This is a significant step towards self-reliance in strategic defense technologies. The aircraft has been designed and developed by the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) based in Bangalore. ADE is a premier Research Laboratory under DRDO. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also congratulated DRDO for this successful test.
