Arrangements have been made to accommodate more than 70 thousand pilgrims in the entire Shrine area.
Arrangements to stop 1.30 lakh Amarnath Yatris in base camps
Highly placed sources associated with the Shrine Board said that arrangements have been made to stop 1.30 lakh Amarnath pilgrims from Lakhanpur to the base camps in Kashmir. In this, arrangements have been made for the accommodation of eight thousand in Anantnag district, 1600-1800 in Yatri Niwas in Jammu, five thousand in Kathua, eight thousand in Samba, except base camps in Kashmir.
10 to 12 passengers can stay in each tent
Arrangements have been made to accommodate 3200 pilgrims at the newly constructed Yatri Niwas at Chandrakot in Ramban district. Earlier, there was a capacity to accommodate about 60 thousand passengers. Sources said that the army has also made arrangements for the Amarnath pilgrims at the base camp. About 1800 tents have been prepared by the army. Each tent can accommodate 10 to 12 passengers.
Pittu, horse people will meet only from prepaid booth
Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has arranged a pre paid booth this time to save the passengers from over charge. Pittu, horsemen will be available from these booths at a fixed rate. These services cannot be availed without a pre-paid booth. The board administration says that due to this the devotees will not have to pay more amount.
Helipad also newly built
Shrine Board Administration said that a helipad has been made at Humhama for the helicopter service started this time from Srinagar. Apart from this, two new helipads each have been built in Pahalgam and Neelgrath. Emergency helipads have also been prepared. With the help of helicopter facility from Srinagar, now passengers will be able to see Baba Barfani in a single day.
15 Battery Cars from Baltal to Domel
This time devotees will also get battery car facility from Baltal to Domel. This facility will be free of cost. For this there will be 15 battery cars. Battery cars will be available to the elderly, the sick and the disabled. The journey of sadhus will be absolutely free.
