6823 pilgrims left on Thursday morning with the first batch from Baltal route to see Baba Barfani in the holy Amarnath cave. There was tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees. The first batch from the Baltal route consisted of 5384 men, 1293 women, 48 children and 98 sadhus. Meenakshi Sehgal, who came from Delhi, said that she is very happy that she has become a part of the first batch and has got the privilege of having a direct darshan of Baba Barfani. The devotees were very happy with the arrangements made by the administration. According to the devotees, seeing this arrangement, they do not feel scared at all. Deepak Sachdev, who came from Delhi, said that since the era of targeted killings in Kashmir, many questions were arising in his mind before coming here, but impressed by the way he heard about the arrangements, he came to visit with his family.
