A notice has been sent by the Income Tax Department to NCP chief Sharad Pawar as soon as the Maha Vikas Aghadi government leaves Maharashtra. This notice is regarding old election affidavits. The Income Tax Department Mumbai has not denied the notice so far. NCP chief spokesperson Mahesh Bharat Tapase has given information about this by tweeting.
Mahesh Bharat Tapase tweeted that immediately after the change in Maharashtra government, the Income Tax Department gives notice to Sharad Pawar for the election affidavits of 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2020. Is this purely coincidental or something else?

NCP chief Sharad Pawar held a press conference after Eknath Shinde took oath as the Chief Minister. In this, he had said that it was not expected that Eknath Shinde would be made the chief minister.
Pawar congratulates Eknath Shinde
Sharad Pawar said during the press conference that I congratulate Eknath Shinde for his new responsibility. He showed the strength to take such a large number of MLAs to Guwahati. He inspired people to leave Shiv Sena. I don’t know if it happened before or not, but it can’t happen without preparation.
Earlier, there was silence in the MVA camp for several hours after the announcement of making Eknath Shinde the chief minister. However, after taking oath on Thursday evening, NCP leader Sharad Pawar made a statement that perhaps the BJP had to take this decision under pressure from the rebel faction. He also said that he had no hope of Shinde becoming the chief minister.
Pawar said that I spoke to Eknath Shinde and congratulated him. I also expressed my expectations that the head of a state leads the whole state and not just one party. You can represent any party, but after oath you represent the state. So I hope he will work to resolve the issues of all the departments. I think Uddhav Thackeray gives full responsibility once he trusts someone. He showed the same trust in Eknath Shinde and gave him the responsibility of the assembly and the party. I don’t know if this political crisis is the result of that.
Fadnavis was not happy accepting the post of Deputy Chief Minister, but followed orders: Pawar
Sharad Pawar claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party leader Devendra Fadnavis was not looking happy accepting the post of deputy chief minister in Eknath Shinde’s government. “I think Fadnavis happily took number two,” Pawar told reporters in Pune. Location is not accepted. His facial expressions told everything.
The NCP chief said, “He is from Nagpur and has worked as a ‘swayamsevak’ (with RSS) and there, when an order comes, it has to be followed.” would have accepted a junior post because of this ‘sanskar’.
Told ‘love letter’ to income tax notice
Pawar also talked about the alleged misuse of central agencies under the BJP government and claimed that he had received “love letters” from the Income Tax Department in respect of his election affidavits in 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2020. He also said that the Eknath Shinde faction, which had camped in Guwahati after rebelling against the Uddhav Thackeray government, did not expect their leader to become anything more than a deputy chief minister.
“However, after being ordered by the BJP central leadership, Shinde was given the chief minister’s post. Nobody knew about it. I think Shinde himself had no idea. The second surprise, which I don’t think is really a surprise, is that Devendra Fadnavis, who served as Chief Minister and then Leader of the Opposition for five years, has to take the post of Deputy Chief Minister following the instructions of the central leadership. He said that such cases have come to the fore in the past as well.
Pawar also rejected the claim of the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs that the Shiv Sena’s alliance with the NCP and the Congress was the primary reason for their rebellion. He said, “This allegation is baseless. It has nothing to do with NCP and Congress. People have to tell something (as an excuse), so NCP and Congress are being blamed.”
