Supplementary nutritional food is given to children 6 or younger. The Government of India is running this program for the health development of poor children. Under this, nutritious food is being distributed to poor children through Anganwadis across the country.
There is still a large number of such children in the country who do not get nutritious food in the early stages. This directly affects their physical development. Due to this, many types of physical problems like malnutrition in children start bothering them at an early stage.
The Supplementary Nutrition Program run by the Government of India is working to overcome this problem of the country. The government is providing nutritious food to the poor children living in the marginal areas of the country through the Anganwadi network.
