On Thursday morning, the first batch of 2,750 pilgrims from Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam and 6,215 from Domel-Baltal base camp left for the darshan of Baba Barfani seated in the holy cave.

A large number of security personnel have been deployed for the pilgrimage. Security has been tightened on Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Apart from this, three-tier security arrangements have been made for the pilgrims with the help of drones and RFID chips.

Trishna of Delhi told that 47 members have come with her to see Baba Barfani. There is a lot of excitement about the trip.
