He will also have the responsibility of some important departments. If sources are to be believed, BJP can keep 29 ministerial posts in the next government. According to the formula, eight cabinet ministerial posts and five state ministerial posts can be given to the Shinde faction by the BJP. One minister formula can be applied to six MLAs. In the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, the disgruntled Shiv Sena MLAs who could not get ministerial posts, or were facing difficulties in getting funds, can also be given the ministry if the government is formed this time. Dada Bhuse, Deepak Kesarkar, Gulabrao Patil, Sandipan Bhumre, Uday Samant, Shambhuraj Desai, Abdul Sattar, Rajendra Patil, Bacchu Kadu, Prakash Abidkar and Sanjay Ramulkar can also be included in this cabinet.
Senior journalist Samir Chowgaonkar says in a discussion with Amar Ujala that two years ago in Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia left Congress and joined BJP. Around 22 MLAs had also left the party along with him. After the elections, some MLAs have been adjusted in Shivraj’s cabinet and some of his supporters in the BJP organization. Due to this, the old and close MLAs of Shivraj could not get a place in the cabinet. A similar situation will now be seen in Maharashtra as well. Because in the case of Madhya Pradesh, Scindia was made a minister at the Centre. But in the case of Maharashtra, Eknath will not be ready for the post of Deputy Chief Minister of the state. They will do politics here by staying in the state itself. Therefore, it will be difficult for the BJP to cultivate their 40 supporters MLAs.

Chowgaonkar says that the BJP high command also knows that to run the government in Maharashtra for the next two and a half years, 40 MLAs of the Shinde faction will have to adjust with the government somewhere else. The MLAs who were ministers in the Uddhav government will only be given ministerial posts or ministers of state. The rest will be accommodated as chairman of the commission or various government boards. However, the BJP will not face much trouble because they have run a coalition government with the same leaders of Shiv Sena in the past. The chemistry of Devendra and Eknath Shinde has been very good in the previous government. But many senior MLAs of Maharashtra BJP, who had strong chances of becoming ministers this time, will have to sacrifice for the party this time. Only then the people of Shinde faction will get a place in the government.

In such a situation, Fadnavis can meet the governor and stake claim to form a new government in the state. Since the BJP is the single largest party in the state, the governor may ask Fadnavis to form the government after his claim. At present, there are 287 MLAs in the 288-seat assembly in the state due to the death of a member. In this case, the majority figure is 144 seats. At present the BJP has 106 MLAs. The number of MLAs supporting the rebel Shinde is 39. BJP also has the support of 12 independent MLAs. Apart from this, three BVA MLAs and one MNS MLA are also included in the BJP faction. In such a situation, the figure of BJP reaches 161. While Shiv Sena has 16, NCP 53, Congress 44, Samajwadi Party has two MLAs. Apart from this, there are two AIMIM MLAs, two independent MLAs. At present, the entire maths of the assembly is with the BJP. If the rebel Shiv Sena camp remains absent during the voting, the majority mark will come down to 124. Even in that case BJP will easily get majority.
